- Check hydraulic motor connections and angle cylinder fittings weekly — broom motors work hard and connection fittings loosen over time
- Store on end or off the ground so bristle fill doesn't take a permanent set under drum weight — brooms stored drum-down develop flat spots in the fill that affect sweep quality

- Attach broom frame using Bob-Tach
- Connect hydraulic couplers for rotation motor
- Verify rotation direction (forward-sweep or reverse-sweep per job)
