Berlon Heavy Duty Skid Steer Cement Mixer
Overview
Berlon Industries' heavy-duty cement mixer is a Canadian-made hydraulic drum attachment engineered for demanding construction work. The Alberta-built drum is reinforced for high-cycle commercial use — fence contractors, foundation builders, and remote-site crews who mix concrete daily. Heavier construction than Berlon's standard mixer with additional drum reinforcement.

Is This Right For You?
Buy if
- You pour continuous large batches — footings, columns, or multiple structures in sequence
- Your crew does daily concrete work and needs a mixer that can keep up with demand all day
- Large-frame skid steer with adequate hydraulic flow to power the drum continuously
Skip if
- You pour occasional small batches — a standard mixer handles that without the extra weight and cost
- Your machine is compact or mid-frame — a heavy mixer may exceed lift capacity with a full drum
Also consider
- Standard cement mixer for occasional or small-batch concrete work
- Concrete hopper for pour-only work where mixing is done elsewhere
Compatible with all skid steer brands and compact track loaders via universal SSQA quick attach. Mid-frame machines (S450–S650 class) are the most common fit.
About Berlon in Canada
Berlon Industries builds attachments in Alberta, making them one of the few truly Prairie-made brands. Berlon products are engineered for Canadian conditions with local dealer support across Western Canada.
Care & Maintenance
- Pre-wet the drum with water and coarse aggregate before first use and after any idle period — concrete bonds permanently to a dry drum and is nearly impossible to remove once cured
- Flush the drum with water and a handful of gravel immediately after every pour — even 30 minutes of delay can start the curing process on residual concrete
- Grease drum bearing mounts and hydraulic motor drive shaft weekly during active use
- Inspect the drum opening seal for wear and replace before it allows concrete to reach the bearing housing — concrete in the bearing is immediate bearing failure
- Store with the drum oriented to drain — standing water inside the drum rusts the interior and degrades the mixing fins over time
How to Connect
- Attach mixer frame using Bob-Tach
- Connect hydraulic drum rotation circuit
- Test drum direction — drum should mix inward (counterclockwise as viewed from chute side) for mixing, reverse to discharge
- Verify drum is empty before connecting to machine
