Wacker Neuson Compact Track Loader Attachments — Compatibility Guide
Wacker Neuson has been manufacturing compact track loaders since 2015 and now offers five ST-series models built and engineered for the North American market at their Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin facility. Their uni-body design, panoramic visibility, and forward-tilting cab for maintenance access are defining features. Before buying any attachment, you need your model's hydraulic flow and a confirm on quick-attach compatibility — which is straightforward on Wacker Neuson machines.

Wacker Neuson CTLs are sold across Canada through Wacker Neuson dealers in all major provinces and are common in construction, utility, landscaping, and snow removal. The current ST-series lineup runs from the compact ST27 at 1,890 lbs ROC up to the large ST50 at 3,500 lbs. The ST27, ST31, and ST37 use a shared uni-body platform introduced in 2023, which delivers industry-leading side visibility and a lower-profile loader arm design that significantly improves operator sightlines during work.

Quick-Attach: Universal SSQA Standard
All Wacker Neuson ST-series compact track loaders use the universal skid steer quick-attach (SSQA) standard. This is the same mounting system used by Bobcat, Case, Cat, JCB, John Deere, Kubota, and virtually all other major brands — and the same system that all major Canadian aftermarket attachment suppliers (HLA, TMG, Virnig, Blue Diamond, Werk-Brau, etc.) build to as standard.
What this means in practice:
- Any standard SSQA-plate attachment will mount directly to a Wacker Neuson CT without any adapter.
- You're not locked into proprietary attachments or OEM-only sourcing.
- The full range of Canadian third-party attachment suppliers is available without compatibility concerns.
Wacker Neuson Serviceability: The Tilting Cab Advantage
One of Wacker Neuson's most-cited design advantages is serviceability. On the ST27, ST31, ST37, ST45, and ST50, the cab can fully tip forward with the loader arms in the down position — providing complete access to all maintenance components without raising the boom. This matters for attachment operators because:
- Hydraulic coupling maintenance and inspection is faster and safer
- Daily checks take less time, meaning more time on the job
- Service intervals are less disruptive in field conditions
The simple, open engine bay design also reduces the time required for basic service checks and routine maintenance.
Auto Two-Speed: Useful Context for Attachment Work
All Wacker Neuson ST-series CTLs include auto two-speed, which automatically shifts between low and high travel speed based on operator joystick commands and machine loading. When running attachments, the machine typically stays in low range automatically when under load — you don't need to manually manage speed range during typical attachment work cycles.
What You Can Run on a Wacker Neuson CTL
Standard Flow — All Models (19–25 GPM)
High-Flow Required High Flow
High-flow is an option on all five models. For high-demand attachment work (mulchers, cold planers, large breakers), the ST37, ST45, and ST50 offer the strongest high-flow outputs. The ST50's 37.4 GPM at up to 4,000 PSI is particularly well-suited to the most demanding attachment categories.
Attachment Recommendations by Machine Class
ST27 — Compact, Versatile
The ST27 is well-sized for landscaping, property maintenance, snow removal, and tight-access construction. At 1,890 lbs ROC and under 7,400 lbs operating weight, it's maneuverable and low ground pressure. Standard-flow attachments cover the full range of typical tasks. The 29 GPM high-flow option covers most mid-class attachment needs. Good for residential and commercial snow removal, property landscaping, and utility work.
ST31 and ST37 — Mid-Range Production
The ST31 and ST37 offer a step up in capacity for production landscaping, light construction, and site prep. The ST37 with 33.1 GPM high-flow is a strong match for medium-class mulchers, heavy-duty tillers, and aggressive power rakes. Both benefit from the uni-body platform's panoramic visibility — particularly useful when operating grapples, rock buckets, and other attachments where precise positioning matters.
ST45 — Large-Frame Workhorse
At 3,150 lbs ROC, the ST45 sits in the large-frame class alongside the most capable machines in the segment. Suitable for heavy construction, land clearing, and demanding material handling. The 31.4 GPM high-flow handles most forestry and ground-engaging attachments. Consider the ST50 if 37+ GPM is a hard requirement.
ST50 — High-Performance Top of Lineup
The ST50 is Wacker Neuson's largest and most capable CTL. With a 100 hp engine, 3,500 lb ROC, and 37.4 GPM high-flow at up to 4,000 PSI, it competes with the top-tier machines from Bobcat, Case, and Cat. Best suited for serious land clearing, large cold planers, high-output snow blowers, and any high-demand attachment application.
What to Ask Your Wacker Neuson Dealer
- "What is my model's aux hydraulic flow — standard and high-flow if equipped?" Get the GPM from the dealer or operator manual.
- "Is high-flow installed and active on this unit?" High-flow is an option — confirm it's actually installed on the machine you're buying or renting.
- "What operating pressure does the aux circuit produce at high flow?" Some attachments have maximum pressure requirements in addition to flow minimums.
- "Is the EH joystick sensitivity configured for the attachment type I'll be running?" Wacker Neuson's electronic-hydraulic joysticks offer selectable sensitivity — ask the dealer how to optimize settings for your attachment.
