Overview
The HLA 72-inch power rake is the most popular width for residential and commercial seedbed preparation and lawn renovation in Canada. Ontario-manufactured by Horst Welding (HLA Attachments), the hydraulic rotor breaks up compacted soil, levels debris, and produces a fine seedbed in one pass. Well-suited to Canadian soil conditions including heavy Prairie clay and stony Maritime soil. With domestic manufacturing, replacement parts are readily available. Available through TAG Equipment, an authorized HLA dealer in Mississauga, Ontario.

- Inspect rotor teeth after each use — chipped or missing carbide dramatically reduces grading quality and throws the rotor off balance
- Grease rotor shaft bearing housings at each end after every 8 hours of use — most premature bearing failures trace back to insufficient lubrication intervals
- Clean packed soil from rotor teeth and the housing after every job — built-up soil throws the rotor out of balance and restricts rotation
- Replace worn teeth in matched sets — mixing old and new teeth across the rotor causes uneven cutting and vibration that stresses the drive
- Inspect hydraulic motor drive connections and belt tension (if belt-driven) weekly during active season
