Overview
The FAE SSL/PRS is a stone picker and power rake combination for skid steers. FAE Group designs this unit to pick up stones, rocks, and debris from soil while preparing a seedbed — ideal for Canadian rocky terrain and recently disturbed construction sites. - Inspect rotor teeth after each use — chipped or missing carbide dramatically reduces grading quality and throws the rotor off balance
- Grease rotor shaft bearing housings at each end after every 8 hours of use — most premature bearing failures trace back to insufficient lubrication intervals
- Clean packed soil from rotor teeth and the housing after every job — built-up soil throws the rotor out of balance and restricts rotation
- Replace worn teeth in matched sets — mixing old and new teeth across the rotor causes uneven cutting and vibration that stresses the drive
- Inspect hydraulic motor drive connections and belt tension (if belt-driven) weekly during active season

- Attach frame using Bob-Tach
- Connect hydraulic rotor circuit
- Adjust rotor depth by lowering carefully — engage at surface before penetrating soil
- Set material deflector angle if applicable
